What's up Rebels?

Welcome to Geek Girl Realtor!  I'm your Captain/Head Witch/Sorcerer Supreme and your very own personal cheerleader, Jess Stone.

Geek Girl Realtor isn't like most Real Estate sites.  I have a passion for all things real estate and all things sci-fi.  One day a switch just kind of flipped in my brain and I thought: why not combine the two?  I love being a Realtor.  I love helping people and I really love geeking out over stuff.   I used to do the whole suit and tie thing (and occasionally you still might see me in a bow-tie if I'm doing an every-day-cosplay of Doctor Who), but I always felt like I was pretending.

There's this meme that I saw where there's a guy at an office, dressed as Batman and how he's sitting at a disciplinary meeting.  Everytime I see it, I laugh.

I don't wanna be Batman, but I do want to be comfortable.  Being comfortable allows my neuro-spicy brain not to care about what other people are thinking about me (I know I'm a geek, nerd, dork, whatever - I embrace it.), not worry about what brand shoes are on my feet or what purse I'm carrying, what's in my wallet, or anything like that.  Being comfortable allows me to do what I do best and that is help people with their real estate needs. â€‹

I started my career in real estate in 2014 as an agent with Market Place Realty in South Bend, Indiana (where I still hold a brokers license).  While I loved living and growing up in northern Indiana, I was never really a fan of the snow and cold that winter would bring.

In 2019, my wife, 3 kids, 2 cats and our dog hit the road with two cars and the biggest U-Haul truck we could manage and headed south to the Tampa Bay area so I could join the amazing team at RE/MAX Champions.   It was a bit of a culture shock going from small-ish town Indiana to a metro area with a population of over 3 million people, but I hit the ground running and have loved becoming a part of this community.

I have a tendancy to talk fast, drive faster, and sneeze three times in a row.  I also absolutely love looking for the upside to any situation and love helping people come up with creative solutions to whatever problems they have.

If you ask my wife, she'll tell you that I'm "as subtle as a sledgehammer."  I believe in complete transparency and honesty when dealing with people and will generally tell you what's on my mind.  I will do my very best to be polite, but I'm not going to sugarcoat bad news; I'll give it to you straight. And I'm not necessarily going to watch my language.

In my book, buying a house is more than just a transaction.  It's where you want most of your story to take place.  I want to make sure that the story getting you to your dream destination is safe, secure, hassle-free, and ends with a happy ending.  At least, this particular chapter.   I am truly honored to be a part of each and every one of my clients' stories.
